A home Level 2 charger turns your EV from a planning exercise into a normal car. Plug in when you park, leave with a full battery, never think about charging again. The catch is that you cannot just hang one on the wall and call it done. A 48 amp charger on a 50 amp circuit is a code violation. A 50 amp NEMA outlet on aluminum branch wiring is a fire waiting to happen. A long romex run from a packed 100 amp panel is asking for a melted neutral.
We do this right. Real panel load calculation before quoting. Properly sized copper conductors. Continuous-load derating on every circuit (the NEC requires 125 percent for any load running over three hours). Hardwired connections on chargers above 40 amps because that is what the manufacturer requires for the warranty. Weatherproof in-use covers on every exterior outlet.
We install for Tesla, Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian, Chevy Bolt and Silverado EV, Hyundai Ioniq, Kia EV6, Nissan Leaf, and every other EV sold in East Tennessee. Same install fee whether the truck in the driveway is electric or just thirsty.
